PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE


From the President... At our April Board of Directors meeting, your CCPOA leadership team presented its organizational goals for 2008 through 2010. They may seem aggressive, but the times dictate an uninhibited presence. Here are our goals for the coming years:

1. Restore MOU protection - This goes without saying. We are working every legal angle available to get the best contract for our members without massive givebacks. The state is determined to take us back more than 20 years with respect to our working conditions. We are not interested in buying a ticket on that time machine and will continue to fight for the best for our members-both rank and file and supervisory...

2008 Western States Police & Fire Games

6/9/08 - The games will be held in Boise, Idaho, August 16 -23, 2008. And according to L.C. "there is something for everyone, young and old." L.C. goes on to say, "There are over 60 events to choose from for men and women of all age groups. Despite many attempts by CCPOA (Bargaining Unit 6) to move the process forward, the State of California has refused to negotiate in good faith.
