Vallejo’s latest homicide victim was recent parolee
Vallejo police have identified the man found dead with a gunshot wound Sunday night as Joseph Maes Pittier of Vallejo, who had been released on parole last month.
Sunday's shooting was Vallejo's 12th homicide of the year, excluding two just outside city limits in unincorporated Solano County.
Pittier, 28, was found behind the wheel of a Ford Explorer about 8:40 p.m. at Sonoma Boulevard and Mini Drive, police said. The vehicle had rolled over into the center median, they said...

Vallejo K-9 officer sniffs out parolee hiding in the bushes
Vallejo police arrested a parolee found hiding in the bushes Friday night.
At about 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a noise complaint in the unit block of Falcon Drive, police said.
