Rookie K-9 captures Redding parolee
Thanks to a rookie police dog on duty for its first full shift, a 27-year-old Redding man, who mistakenly thought he had warrants out for his arrest, was captured this morning after hiding from police in a creek, officers said.
At 1:15 a.m., police pulled over a car at Lake Boulevard and Boulder Creek Drive in Redding, Sgt. Mike Wood said.
As the car slowed to a stop, Joseph Lemule Stinson hopped out of the passenger side and ran into the Waterworks Park parking lot, Wood said...
