Parolee problems: Woman with kitchen knife repels parolee burglar
Police say a Concord woman fought off a parolee who was hiding in her bedroom with a kitchen knife.
Lt. Andrew Gartner said Robert Jarrett was running from a police officer who had tried to arrest on him an outstanding warrant Wednesday afternoon when Jarrett allegedly holed up in the woman's home.
Gartner says the woman reported that Jarrett tried to force her into the bathroom when she found him there, but fled when she cut his face and arm with a knife...
