Parolee convicted of home-invasion robbery at daycare business
A parolee convicted Friday of robbing a woman at gunpoint while she watched six children in her Irvine home faces more than 20 years in state prison.
Hung Trong Do, 33, of Stanton pleaded guilty to five felonies, including robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to Orange County Superior Court records. A felony charge of child abuse and endangerment was dismissed.
Authorities say Do broke into the home of an Irvine woman who was running a daycare business at the residence. They allege he entered through a garage door and pointed a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic firearm at the woman, who was sitting on a couch feeding a baby...
