Parolee arrested on drug, gun charges after pursuit
A parolee led officers on a short vehicle pursuit Sunday afternoon before hiding in an apartment occupied by strangers, according to Santa Maria police.
George Chavez, 29, of Santa Maria was found hiding in a bathroom in the apartment in the 1200 block of West Bethel Lane, and was arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of: vehicle evading, possession of methamphetamine for sale, being an ex-felon in possession of a stolen firearm, residential burglary and a no-bail warrant for possession of methamphetamine…
