Parolee arrested for stealing weapons
A 21-year-old parolee is in custody on charges of stealing a handgun and knife from a vehicle in Big Bear City.
Robert Standard was arrested Dec. 22 on suspicion of stealing the weapons, according to Detective Lonnie Siebert. Deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station were notified at 9:59 a.m. Dec. 22 about the missing items from a vehicle in the 400 block of East Country Club Boulevard in Big Bear City. Detectives were aware that Standard, a parolee at large, was in the Big Bear area, and was a suspect in the theft. Standard was wanted on other parole violations as well, Siebert said...
