Parolee Accused In Shooting To Stand Trial

A parolee accused of fatally shooting a man in Skyline during a drug deal gone bad must stand trial on murder charges, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Ronnie Leroy Bonaparte faces 80 years to life in prison if convicted, said Deputy District Attorney Allison Worden.

Bonaparte, 28, was on parole for a 2002 robbery conviction when he allegedly shot 24-year-old Jonathan Gonzalez about 2 p.m. last June 6 on Chester near Lisbon Street....
