Oceanside police arrest robbery suspect
A parolee-at-large who police say robbed a couple Friday night surrendered after a two-hour standoff with officers.
Refugio Pineda, 44, was booked into Vista jail on an outstanding arrest warrant. He also will be charged with armed robbery, said Oceanside police Lt. Fred Armijo.
Police said Pineda approached a man and woman about 4:30 p.m. on Bush Street near San Diego Street and asked for cash. When they said they did not have any, he displayed a black handgun and asked again. They gave him cash and he walked away...
