Dinsmore man allegedly assaulted three people Tuesday
A Dinsmore man is awaiting extradition to Washington on a warrant for failing to check in with his parole agent after deputies arrested him Tuesday evening for allegedly assaulting three housemates.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 41000 block of Dinsmore near Highway 36 around 7 p.m. Tuesday in regard to an assault. According to a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, the deputies spoke with two female victims outside the residence who reported Dinsmore resident Todd Vernon Nelson, 49, assaulted three people at the house with his fists and was armed with a filet knife. Nelson had been living at the residence with the victims...
