Azusa traffic stop leads to arrest of bicyclist
A bicyclist was arrested Tuesday for allegedly running away from police and for having a gun and bullets in his bag.
Police later found out he was a parolee with a warrant for violating parole.
An officer tried to pull over the bicyclist in the 200 block of South Azusa Avenue shortly after 8 p.m., Azusa police Sgt. Xavier Torres said. He said the traffic stop was for a "lighting equipment violation."
The bicyclist rode away then later abandoned the bike and ran...
