January 2012
January 11 – A resistive inmate tried to strike a sergeant with his fists. The inmate subsequently struck the sergeant with his head. The sergeant sustained a red mark on the forehead.
April 2011
April 3 – Tower 1 Officer witnessed a truck was parked by a building located in the staff parking lot. A male, female and two children got out of the vehicle and waited for a few minutes. The male then threw a couple of bags away in the garbage can. They all got back into their vehicle and drove away. A sergeant responded to the area and searched the garbage can and found a bag containing 12 bindles of marijuana totaling 190.6 grams and two larger ball-shaped bindles containing tobacco totaling 1069.30 grams.
August 2010
August 21 – An inmate threw a cup of an unknown liquid at two officers. The officers were able to close the food port to avoid contact with the liquid.
August 20 – In Housing Unit H-3, an inmate spit at an officer; the spittle struck the officer’s eye. The officer was sent to a local hospital for treatment.
As on August 20 – An inmate threw a cup of unknown liquid through a food port striking an officer’s hand. The officer was treated on site.
January 2010
January 2 – A riot occurred in a housing unit corridor involving three Northern Hispanic inmates and one Southern Hispanic inmate. The riot required pepper spray to stop the incident. All involved inmates were placed in Ad Seg.
March 2008
March 13 - An inmate in the medical guarding unit at Queen of the Valley hospital removed all his IV's, battered correctional staff, bit a nurse and exposed blood to all in the immediate area. The inmate was forcibly medicated and the Napa Police Department was called and responded.
January 2008
January 16 - During an in cell medical assessment, an inmate punched a staff doctor in the groin. Responding staff used physical force to restrain the inmate who was place in Administrative Segregation.
