SURPRISE GOVERNOR!8/20/08 - Today CCPOA successfully intervened in the legal battle between Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the State Controller John Chiang. Once CCPOA intervened in the case on behalf of Bargaining Unit 6 members, our team led the legal charge to protect state employee's paychecks. As a result of our efforts today, members' paychecks going out at the end of the month will be for the full amount, and not for the Governor's proposed Federal minimum wage. CCPOA's legal team is now working with a majority of the other state employee unions to continue to protect our members' pay and benefits by using all the legal tools available. Stay Strong!
