CCPOA & PEACEKeeper Magazine Presents: California Pens :: CSP-Lancaster (CSPLAC)April 13 - An inmate committed battery on two Officers causing bleeding from the nose and redness to the other Officers face. Responding staff used OC pepper spray and physical force to stop the incident. All staff were treated and released. April 13 - While conducting clothed body searches in Facility B, an inmate turned and began punching an Officer in the face. Another Officer began to help the Officer but was also attacked by the assailant. The first Officer sustained facial injuries and was treated at an outside medical facility. The second Officer was seen by medical staff within the institution. April 5 - The FAB5 Floor Officer #2 was instructed to escort an AD-Seg inmate from his cell. When the Officer opened the food port to place handcuffs on the inmate, the inmate put his hands behind him for the handcuffs to be placed. As the Officer was handcuffing the inmate, the inmate turned and grabbed the Officer's left wrist just past his watch and pulled the Officer's hand and forearm into the cell using the Officer's watch as leverage. O.C. pepper spray was utilized and the inmate released his grip on the Officer's arm. The Officer was evaluated by on-site medical staff, no injuries were reported. April 2 - During the morning meal, an Officer ordered a disruptive inmate to leave the dining area for counseling. In the process of counseling the inmate, the inmate struck the Officer in the face. While the Officer was disoriented, the inmate continued to assault the Officer by repeatedly striking him in the face. The Officer sustained contusions and abrasions to his face and head. The Officer received medical care at a local hospital. April 2 - On the North Exercise Yard, an Officer ordered an inmate to submit to being placed in handcuffs and the inmate refused. The Officer began to place the inmate on the ground when the inmate struck the Officer in the face. The Officer received medical care at an outside hospital. February 23 - An inmate in Facility C, Building 1 was exiting his cell for a cell search, he became agitated and struck an Officer on the head. Injuries to the Officer consisted of bruises to the head, upper body and shoulder. The Officer was seen at High Desert Medical Group. |
